Elite Wing Brown Favors Three

Anthony Brown, an elite 2010 wing from Ocean View, has plenty of high major options. He says three schools currently top his list. Are the Bruins in his top three...?

Anthony Brown, 6-5 SO SG Huntington Beach (Calif.) Ocean View, is one of the elite prospects in the West Coast class of 2010. Brown has a feathery touch to the arc, as well as terrific vision and very good passing skills. While he might end up too big to play point guard, he does have ball skills that suggest that possibility. He's made tremendous progress in the last year and he's still growing into his body. With continued development, he figures to be one of the top prospects nationally in the class.

I spoke with Brown recently and he gave me a long list of schools that have been in contact with him.

"Arizona, Cal, UCLA, USC, Washington, San Diego, Arizona State, Washington State, Stanford, Texas, UNLV and Georgetown," said Brown. "San Diego and Arizona State have offered."

I asked Brown if any schools stand out for him at the moment.

"Arizona, Texas and Georgetown would probably be the top three," said Brown.

When questioned about the factors that might be important to him in choosing a school, Brown replied, "I'm looking for a fun style of play and a good academic situation. The location doesn't really matter."

Brown said he's in no hurry to pick a school.

"I'm going to take my time and wait awhile," said Brown.

Brown said he has a 4.1 GPA.
