Tyler Honeycutt, the 6-7 small forward from Sylmar, Calif., now has a few different high-major scholarship offers to sort through, and he said he has some plans after July to visit some of the schools who have offered...
, 6-7 SR SF Sylmar (Calif.) High, is an extremely talented prospect with a very versatile game. He can score in a variety of ways, but he's also showing that he can rebound when called upon and he's also a terrific shot-blocker. He's clearly developed into one of the elite small forwards in the country for 2009.
I spoke with Honeycutt in Las Vegas and asked about the schools that have offered him a scholarship.
"UCLA offered during the break -- they were the only new one," said Honeycutt. "Previously, Arizona, Arizona State, USC, Gonzaga and Washington had all offered."
I asked Honeycutt about the timeframe for his decision.
"I'm going to take a visit to ASU after the summer and I'm pretty sure I'll visit UCLA," said Honeycutt. "I'm planning on waiting until after July to pick a school and I'm just playing it by ear on the timing."
