Neuheisel Video, Scrimmage Stats

Head Coach Rick Neuheisel ran down his thoughts right after Saturday's scrimmage at Drake Stadium, discussing the performance of the quarterbacks, which QB is leading, the lack of a running game, and the state of the defense...

There were probably 3,000 fans at Drak Stadium for the fall scrimmage Saturday night.

The lone injury was to Korey Bosworth, who suffered an ankle injury. His status is unknown.

Several receivers sat out, including Gavin Ketchum (shoulder), Dominique Johnson (hip) and Taylor Embree (shoulder). Tight end Logan Paulsen (concussion) also sat it out.

Glenn Love was out for the defense as well as E.J. Woods, Jess Ward and Reggie Carter.

Neither quarterback, Kevin Craft or Chris Forcier, looked like they were in command of the offense. Craft struggled early then had a few good series. He also scored on a QB draw. Terrence Austin returned a punt for a score.

The most worrisiome thing, though, was a lack of a running game. Kahlil Bell had only limited reps.

Neuheisel said after that Craft is the leader for the quarterback spot.

Recruits in attendance included committed guys Todd Golper and Sheldon Price, as well as Robert Franco and Sterling Carter.

We'll have more an in-report about the scrimmage later.
