Neuheisel Video and Practice Report

Head Coach Rick Neuheisel talked after practice Wednesday about the injured, the maturation of quarterback Kevin Craft, and just a bit of the Tennessee game, while there were a few personnel moves to make up for injuries and one player returning to the team...

The team went through a light and fairly short practice Wednesday, working without pads and just shorts.

Tight end Logan Paulsen will have surgery for his broken foot. Coach Rick Neuheisel said they might be able to determine whether he'd redshirt in 5 to 6 weeks after the surgery.

Running back Kahlil Bell is still recovering from his high ankle sprain. Bell thinks he'll be back at practice next week but Neuheisel thought that was too optimistic.

Receiver Marcus Everett was in a boot.

Middle linebacker Reggie Carter sat out.

Running back Christian Ramirez, who is redshirting, missed practice because of an illness of a family member.

Senior safety Bret Lockett was re-installed with the #1 defense at safety. Freshman Rahim Moore shifted to cornerback with the 2s.

With Carter out, Steve Sloan ran with the 1s at middle linebacker.

Freshman quarterback Kevin Prince took reps with the 2s along with Chris Forcier.

With a lack of tight ends, Jeff Miller was working as the third-string TE.
