Snaer in Process of Setting Visits

Michael Snaer, the 6-4 shooting guard from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde, and one of the best at his position in the nation, is set to begin taking official visits. He'll start with a Big 12 school this weekend...

The visit process is about to begin for one of the nations top uncommitted guards. Michael Snaer, a senior-to-be at Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde, has set up a trio of official visits and is looking to set up his fourth.

"I'm pretty excited about it," the 22nd ranked prospect in the 2009 class said. "I've been waiting for it. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Snaer's schedule consists of three official visits in three straight weekends. He kicks things off with Missouri this coming weekend. The weekend of September 13th, he'll head to Florida State, and the weekend of the 20th he'll spend at Marquette.

To go with those three trips, he also mentioned the possibility of setting up an official visit to UCLA. A specific date to visit Westwood (Calif.) has not been discussed.

"I'm going to go to all of them, enjoy myself and get used to them and see which one fits me the best," Snaer, who is ranked as the 5th best shooting guard in the 2009 class, said.

"I'm trying to keep everything equal," he continued. "I want to go into it with an open mind and let everybody tell me about their school and what they have to offer."

Snaer discussed what he liked about each of the four schools involved in his recruitment.

Missouri: "I like the coaching staff. I talk to them a lot and I've talked to all four of their coaches a lot. I like how it feels like home. They really welcome you with open arms down there."

Florida State: "With Florida State, I like the coaches and I know they want to get me better and they know how to get me better and how to get me where I want to go. I like the coaches down there too."

Marquette: "I know they are going to push me hard every single day and make me work every single day. I've been there on an unofficial before and I know how they push their guys. I want them to push me the same way."

UCLA: "There is a lot of competition down there and I know their coaches are very good at what they do. I know there is a lot of competition there and I can get better playing against the best."

Shortly after the visits, Snaer hopes to hash out a decision.

"After I finish up my visits I'm just going to sit down with my mom and my coaches and try to figure out which school will be best for me and will fit me the best."
