Neuheisel Video and Practice Report

Head Coach Rick Neuheisel talked after practice Monday about the offensive line, and the competition at one starting position, while a number of receivers are in some stage of injury. With Kahlil Bell probably out, one tailback got the majority of the work with the first string...

Head Coach Rick Neuheisel said, after two days off, the team was rusty Monday, practicing in just shells.

He also said he wasn't happy with the offensive line's performance Monday.

Darius Savage was working with the first string at left guard, with Scott Glicksberg working with the 2s. Neuheisel said after practice that there's a healthy competition going on between the two for the starting spot.

offensive tackle Mike Harris is available to play Saturday.

Wide receiver Gavin Ketchum returned to practice and is set to play on Saturday, it's just a matter of stamina.

Neuheisel said they're holding out hope that Kahlil Bell can play on Saturday, but he didn't work out Monday. In his absence, Chane Moline was the primary tailback.

There is little hope that receiver Marcus Everett will play this weekend.

Middle linebacker Reggie Carter was dressed in a red, no-hit jersey, but mostly shadowed Steve Sloan in the scrimmages.

Freshman receiver Nelson Rosario was dressed but didn't practice, and is doubtful for Saturday.

Quarterback Kevin Craft had a fairly sharp practice, looking more and more consistent in his throws.
