Coaches Plan To Watch Natyazhko

One of the better uncommitted big men in the 2009 class, 6-10 Kyryl Natyazhko, is set to return from his native Ukraine soon. Once he gets back, a number of colleges will make the trip to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, to watch him workout...

The recruiting process for Kyryl Natyazhko has been on hold for the past month. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man left for Ukraine, his home country, in mid-October and he won't return for another week.

Once the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy star returns he'll begin looking at his recruitment a little more. A number of schools, including Xavier, Miami, Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh and LSU have set dates to watch him workout in the next two weeks.

"We are going to try and give them a couple of dates to come in," IMG head coach Vince Walden said. "We know he's coming back late, but we want to get these guys in and accommodate them."

To go with the schools that have set up trips, Natyazhko has also heard from Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona State, Marquette, SMU, UCLA, and Louisville.

"He's taking the SAT on the fourth of October, so he doesn't have any visits set up," Walden said. "We just want to get him back in and get him back in the mix with things."

According to Walden, Natyazhko's recruitment is still holding steady and the talented big man still seems to be wide open.

"Nothing has changed thus far," Walden said. "That's kind of how he wants it and we are honoring that. That's what he really wants. We are going to go every Tuesday and Thursday basically, and I think that will allow guys to come in and see him."

Natyazhko is a four-star recruit and checked in at No. 69 in the post-July rankings.
