Charles Siddoway, the 6-6, 303-pounder who is the #19-ranked offensive tackle in the nation, has a reason he hasn't spoken with too many college coaches as of late.
"Recently I had my phone stolen so I haven't been talking to too many people. I have talked with Oregon, California, UCLA. and the Washington coaches tried to call me...I talked to Alabama and Arizona State also," said Siddoway.
Siddoway said his top five, in no particular order, consists of Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, UCLA and Alabama.
"I've talked to (UCLA's) coaches quite a bit..I've got a couple friends who have gone there and they really like it...(Oregon) is close to home and they have good coaches...and I actually have quite a few good friends who go there and so far they've liked everything there," said Siddoway.
UCLA and Cal look good for official visits in October with Siddoway still deciding on additional trips.
THROUGH THREE GAMES at Sheldon High (2-1, defending 6A state champs) Siddoway has over 20 pancake blocks on the young season.
Sheldon's loss was to Skyline of Washington, the defending class 3A champion who moved up to 4A this year. In the 21-0 loss, it was a game of missed opportunities, said Siddoway. Sheldon fumbled on the goal line and dropped two passes in the end zone.
Siddoway will play some d-tackle this season for Sheldon but he'll line up on the offensive line at the next level.
