Here is a look at what UCLA commits did in games from Week Two of the prep football season.
Game of the Week: Corona Centennial def. Santa Ana Mater Dei, 47-35
Senior running back Arthur Burns scored four touchdowns on 246 yards rushing, UCLA-committed Ricky Marvray returned a kickoff 95-yards and had 50 yards receiving and the Huskies overcame 422 yards passing by USC-committed Matt Barkley to give them a 47-35 win over Mater Dei.
De La Salle def. Loyola, 27-21
A field goal that would have given the Cubs a five-point lead, instead was returned 75 yards to set up the go-ahead score for the Spartans, who scored with 2:46 left. The Cubs couldn't get farther than midfield and the Spartans held on. Junior running back Anthony Barr, who has a UCLA scholarship offer, had 213 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the losing effort.
La Puente Bishop Amat def. West Covina, 42-6
There was no letdown for the Lancers after their win over Orange Lutheran, and they rolled to an easy 36-point win over West Covina. Senior running back Deshawn Gaise had five touchdowns, and the defense, led by UCLA LB prospect Brent Seals and UCLA-committed DB Sheldon Price held West Covina to six points, despite being without UCLA-committed LB Isaiah Bowens, another UCLA commit, still.
Mission Viejo def. La Costa Canyon, 38-14
UCLA commit Alex Mascarenas caught a touchdown pass and had two interceptions to help the Diablos cruise to an intersectional win and earn himself Orange County Defensive Player of the Week honors. Quarterback Allan Bridgford, who is verbally committed to Cal, had another solid performance, going 17-for-29 for 221 yards and three touchdowns, two to Kevin Chandler and one to Mascarenas.
El Diamante def. Golden Valley, 61-7
El Diamante had another big night, routing Golden Valley 61-7. The El Diamante starters, including UCLA-committed lineman Greg Capella, who had another workman-like night in the trenches, were out for the second half, after they jumped to a 49-0 lead. El Diamante rushed for over 250 yards for the second straight week.
Anaheim Servite at Encino Crespi
Crespi's junior quarterback Bryan Bennett was 11-of-21 for 261 yards and two touchdowns and senior receiver Kevin Cummings scored two touchdowns, one through the air and the other on a 31-yard interception and the Celts continued their mastery of Servite with a 21-20 win.
