Kapolei (Hawaii) offensive tackle Stan Hasiak (6-6, 340), took his first official visit over the weekend, going to UCLA.

Hasiak's visit to Westwood went well enough that the four-star lineman gave the Bruins a verbal.

"I almost committed to them when I was there during the summer but didn't want to do it yet. But this time, I felt it," said Hasiak. "The coaches were all happy that I committed."

Hasiak became the 8th commit to the Bruins in the class of 2009, and the second on the offensive line. He had previously visited UCLA during the summer, unofficially, during a swing of the California schools.

"Getting to know the coaches and the players was cool," said Hasiak. "I just feel like UCLA is the best place for me."

While he verballed to the Bruins, Hasiak said he still may likely be taking trips to USC and Cal.

"I might still take my visits, but I'm not sure," said Hasiak. "I'll talk about it with my family."

While on his visit, Hasiak was hosted by Jeff Baca, and he also spent ample time with the UCLA coaching staff.

"I got along with the players and the coaches really well," said Hasiak. "The coaches are all really cool people. And the players are all real nice guys."

The top offensive lineman on the Islands, Hasiak has been selected to the UnderArmour All-America Game.
