Recap of UCLA Recruits on Friday

UCLA-committed players and recruits had a big night last Friday, with one getting 17 tackles, another catching 8 passes, while a running back prospect ran for 319 yards, and a linebacker recruit scored four touchdowns...

Here is a look at the games involving UCLA commits and recruits from Week Six of the prep football season.

Game of the Week: Los Flores Tesoro def. Mission Viejo, 31-14
Tesoro surprisingly handled the previously unbeaten Diablos with ease, racing out to a 28-7 lead before cruising to a 31-14 win. Tesoro's defense, led by Boise State commit John Michael Davis, harassed Allan Bridgford, the Cal commit, into an 8-for-26 night and four interceptions and sacked him four times. UCLA commit Alex Mascarenas had four catches for 66 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown reception, in the loss.

Los Osos def. Alta Loma, 27-12
In their final test before they play Upland next week, Los Osos dropped neighboring Alta Loma by 15. UCLA committed quarterback Richard Brehaut had a workmanlike game, going 19-for-30 for 282 yards and threw three touchdown passes in the win. Senior running back Arby Fields caught four passes for 76 yards and scored on the ground and through the air.

Corona Centennial def. Riverside King, 38-8
The top-ranked Huskies had no problem with King, rolling to a 30-point win. UCLA commit Ricky Marvray caught eight passes for 89 yards, and ran for more on an end-around, and scored two touchdowns. He also had a pair of big returns negated by penalty. Senior running back Arthur Burns ran for 119 yards on 21 carries and scored twice and Will Sutton paced a Husky defense that had nine tackles for loss.

Arcadia def. Pasadena, 31-27
UCLA commit Todd Golper had 17 tackles, an interception and forced a fumble while carrying the ball three times, including a three-yard touchdown. He also had three receptions for 24 yards and blocked a PAT in Arcadia's 31-27 win over Pasadena, which helped keep the Apaches unbeaten in league play. He kept alive the go-ahead drive on a tailback pass, drawing a pass-interference penalty.

Visalia El Diamante def. Lemoore, 41-28
Behind offensive lineman Greg Capella, a UCLA commit, and running back Stefphon Jefferson, El Diamante returned to their winning ways, with a 41-28 win. Jefferson ran for 215 yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries. Capella has helped lead a rushing attack that has rushed for 1,836 yards and 26 touchdowns in six games.

La Puente Bishop Amat def. La Canada St. Francis, 28-13
A defense led by UCLA commits Sheldon Price and Isaiah Bowens, as well as UCLA recruit Brent Seals, held St. Francis to their lowest scoring total of the year. Bowens had a pair of sacks in the win. St. Francis junior Dietrich Riley, who has a UCLA offer, rushed for 35 yards on nine carries and a pair of receptions.

Vista Murrieta def. Temescal Canyon, 41-26
Led by a big night from Bradley Randle, Vista Murrieta remained unbeaten at 6-0. Randle ran for 319 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns on the ground, and caught another touchdown pass to help them rally for a win. Randle averaged 14.5 yards a carry on the night.

Patriot def. Bloomington, 24-21
UCLA commit Jayson Allmond ran for 66 yards on eight carries, caught four passes for 37 yards and had five tackles and scored touchdowns through the air and on the ground but it wasn't enough in the Bruins' 3-point loss.

Punahou def. Iolani, 49-7
Senior running back Dalton Hilliard ran for 49 yards, had six receptions for 50 yards and scored a touchdown while teammate Manti Te'o had seven tackles and a 45-yard punt return for a touchdown, and added a 17-yard touchdown reception and two more rushing touchdowns in the rout.
