VIDEO: Athlete Roby Toma

According to sources, UCLA recently offered the wide receiver/defensive back/returner Roby Toma, from Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou. Check him out in highlights from the first four games of the season, doing it all on both sides of the ball...

Sources are indicating that UCLA has offered a scholarship to Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou athlete Roby Toma.

At the Emerald City Kickoff Classic in Seattle last month, Toma finished with eight catches for 177 yards and constantly got behind the secondary. He's not the biggest, at about 5-9, 165, but is quick, smart and very productive.

In 2008, he has a team-leading 35 receptions for 836 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns. He has 992 all-purpose yards and is averaging 23.8 yards a catch. His yards per catch and receiving touchdowns lead the state and his yards receiving are second in Hawaii.

The word is that UCLA offered Toma as an "athlete."

Toma is teammates with both Dalton Hilliard, the running back prospect UCLA recently offered also, and one of UCLA's biggest targets in the 2009 class, linebacker Manti Te'o.

Here are 2008 highlights of Toma in action.
