Moser Has Big Change of Plans

One of the truly elite prospects on the west coast, 6-7 wing Mike Moser from Portland (Ore.) Grant, told Scout.com about his considerable change of plans since de-committing from Arizona, the schools he's considering and how's he won't be making a decision anytime soon...

Life is full of twists and turns, and Mike Moser knows that as well as anyone right now.

The highly regarded prospect out of Portland (Ore.) Grant was set on playing his college basketball at Arizona, but with the recent development of Lute Olson retiring, Grant is once again an uncommitted prospect.

Prior to taking his official visit to Arizona this past weekend Moser informed the Wildcat staff that he would be making the trip as a decommitted prospect. After the visit Moser spoke the same tune.

"I went to down to Arizona to check things out for myself and see the campus and the facilities," Moser said. "It's just the coaching situation has me feeling a little uncomfortable and that's why I decommitted."

Since the 6-foot-7 forward opened up his recruitment a number of schools have put calls into him and offered him scholarships. Among the schools he mentioned were Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, USC and Louisville.

"I'm just going to open it up for some more schools," the four-star prospect said. "I'm going to go out a little bit and see what's around and try to find a good fit."

Moser's visit to Arizona this past weekend was an official visit, so he'll have four trips remaining.

"I'm probably going to take all of the schools that are in contact with me right now and sort them and see what is what and if I'm [getting a good feeling] from certain schools and coaches. I'll just go from there and make the best decision I can."

Despite the recent changes, Moser, who is ranked No. 60 overall in the 2009 class, said he's still considering the Wildcats.

"I'm still going to consider them," he said. "It's just the coaching situation. It's still a great school and a great fit for me. We are just going to keep looking."

Moser is planning to hold off on a decision until the spring.
