Here is a look at games that involved UCLA commits and recruits from Week Seven of the prep football season.
Game of the Week: Los Osos def. Upland, 41-28
UCLA committed quarterback Richard Brehaut won the head-to-head matchup with close friend and Stanford commit Josh Nunes, but it was senior running back Arby Fields who stole the show. Fields reached the end zone four times, once through the air from Brehaut, once on an punt return and two more on the ground. Brehaut was just as steady, throwing two touchdown passes and running for one in the win, that keeps the Grizzlies on top in the Baseline League. Fields finished with 168 yards on 25 carries and Nunes ended with 167 yards passing with two picks.
La Puente Bishop Amat def. West Hills Chaminade, 38-21
UCLA commit Sheldon Price had three tackles and scored a touchdown on a return, fellow Bruin commit Isaiah Bowens added a few more tackles and UCLA recruit Brent Seals had 15 tackles and a sack in the Lancers final non-league game.
Muir def. Arcadia, 54-0
Todd Golper, UCLA's committed linebacker, did all he could but the Apaches didn't have the firepower to match Muir, dropping the Pacific League showdown. Golper caught six passes for 60 yards and added 19 tackles for Arcadia.
Mission Viejo def. Aliso Niguel, 59-7
The Diablos bounced back from their lone loss, to Tesoro, with a rout of Aliso Niguel. Cal's committed quarterback Allan Bridgford was 19-for-23 for 229 yards and four touchdowns, one of those going to UCLA commit Alex Mascarenas, who had 60 yards receiving and a stout game on defense.
Corona Centennial def. Riverside Poly, 55-6
Arthur Burns continued his stellar senior season, running for 123 yards and four touchdowns in the Huskies rout. Ricky Marvray, UCLA's committed receiver caught four passes and scored on a 68-yard punt return. He also had two long punt returns called back for penalties and threw a 37-yard touchdown pass on a double pass. Nebraska-bound quarterback Taylor Martinez passed for 101 yards and ran for 77 in the win.
Visalia El Diamante def. Hanford West, 56-13
The vaunted running game for the Miners, led by UCLA commit Greg Capella and rising running back Stefphon Jefferson needed only one half to explode. Jefferson rushed for 215 yards and four touchdowns in the win, which kept the Miners unbeaten in league play.
La Verne Bonita def. Pomona Diamond Ranch, 17-7
Despite another strong defensive effort, UCLA commit Brandon Sermons and Diamond Ranch dropped their sixth game, struggling to get anything going on offense after a first quarter touchdown.
Honolulu Farrington def. Kapolei, 37-20
Farrington, led by 2010 UCLA target V.J. Fehoko used a 31-point second quarter to blow the game open against UCLA commit Stan Hasiak's Kapolei team, leading #6 Farrington to the 17-point win over #9 Kapolei.
Honolulu Punahou def. Pac-5, 57-7
Two of UCLA's commits made their presence known in the game, with Roby Toma throwing a touchdown pass to fellow Bruin verbal Dalton Hilliard. Hilliard scored three times, two through the air, including the catch from Toma and one on an interception.
Bloomington def. Jurupa Valley, 49-13
UCLA pledge Jayson Allmond did it all for the Bruins, scoring three touchdowns, two on the ground and one in the air to give them an easy win. Allmond ran for 64 yards on 11 carries, caught three passes for 85 yards and had five tackles in the win.
