Killebrew Talks About It

The #6 linebacker prospect in the nation, Robert Killebrew, talks about how he'll approach his recruiting given the current UCLA coaching situation...

Robert Killebrew, 6-1, 205, 4.45, Klein (Texas) had a great visit to UCLA. He is in no rush to make a decision, and said he is taking a wait and see attitude with whoever the new UCLA head coach will be.

UCLA was in contact with Killebrew over the weekend. "I spoke with coach (John) Pearce on Sunday, the day before coach Toledo got fired, and I haven't heard anything since. I had a real good time on my visit. I enjoyed it. They know how to treat the players real well down there in California. I really like the coaching staff, but we have to see what happens now. The campus will be the same and the players will be the same, but we have to see who will run the show from now on. I was hosted by Justin London and Wesley Walker."

Killebrew is still drawing plenty of interest from the same schools he has had on his list for some time. "I'm hearing a lot from Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. I also hear a lot from UCLA, but like I said, I would like to see who the replacement is going to be."

This weekend Killebrew is heading to Texas. "I'm real excited about that trip." Then he is heading to Oklahoma the following weekend on December 20 and then to Florida on January 10. "I'm going to take all of my visits before I make any decision."
