When he took a trip to Westwood on Thursday he knew he wanted to be a Bruin. However, he was still waiting for the UCLA coaches to feel the same way about him and it wasn't until the end of his unofficial visit that he found out how they felt.
"I went up there (Thursday) and met with the coaches," Williams told JCFootball.com. "I was sitting there with coach (Rick) Neuheisel and coach (Norm) Chow and they said I had an offer and I was like, 'Ok, well I want to commit then.'"
He said, "They were really excited that I did it and they said they can't wait to see my future there."
"My parents are so excited and I'm excited," Williams said. "Both my mom and my dad started crying when I told them I committed. They were really happy for me."
Williams prepped at Damien Memorial High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, and was a non-qualifier out of high school. After he graduates in June he'll have three years to play two.
Williams said he plans to take his official visit to UCLA after his team finishes the season.
