UCLA Commit Visits Other School

Stan Hasiak, the 6-6, 340-pounder from Kapolei (Hawaii) High who is considered one of the elite offensive prospects in the west, is verbally committed to UCLA, but he talked to us about the official visit he took to another Pac-10 school last weekend...

Kapolei (Hawaii) offensive tackle Stan Hasiak (6-6, 340), who is verbally committed to UCLA, took his second official visit, this time visiting Cal.

"My trip to Cal went real good," said Hasiak. "I liked it a lot and I had a good time."

Hasiak was hosted by fellow Hawaiians Solomona Aigamaua and Aaron Tipoti. Hasiak said: "They were real cool to hang out with. After the game we went to the All-Poly BBQ, where all of the Polynesian players and their families get together, and we just hung out and ate food and had a good time."

Cal's opponent, of course, was Stanford, the same team UCLA played on the weekend Hasiak officially visited UCLA. "The atmosphere was great and it was a lot different from UCLA because it was the Big Game," said Hasiak. "But it was cool. I had visited there unofficially but this time I got to see what the atmosphere was like on the day of a game."

Hasiak also got to spend time talking with the Cal coaches, like offensive line coach Jim Michalczik, defensive line coach and recruiter Tosh Lupoi and head coach Jeff Tedford. "All of the coaches were really good people and we had some good conversations," said Hasiak.

Hasiak committed to UCLA last month and said, that while he enjoyed his visit to Berkeley, he remains committed to UCLA.

"I really liked my trip to Cal, it was a good visit," said Hasiak. "But I'm still a commit to UCLA and you can say it's still solid to them. The coaches at UCLA knew I was taking the visit to Cal and they were cool with it."

Hasiak, though, said it's possible he'll be taking another official visit, to either USC, where he's also unofficially visited and camped last summer, or somewhere else.

He said, "I may take another visit before I go to the UnderArmour Game or I may wait until I get back."
