UCLA's Big Recruiting Weekend Nets Verbals

UCLA has landed a few commits during their first big official visit weekend, including a familiar face, and more could be coming through the weekend...

As we reported earlier tonight, UCLA, according to sources, has landed four commitments this evening, all four coming from official visitors.

One of them is Marlon Pollard, who's mother Rachael, confirmed to Steve Wiltfong of Notre Dame's Scout.com site, Irish Eyes, that her son did recommit to UCLA. Pollard, you may remember, committed to the Bruins in the summer of 2007 before his junior year, then decommitted last summer and committed to Notre Dame.

But as we've hinted at for some time, had his interest in UCLA reignited.

Sources are also indicating that three more players have committed to UCLA, including two more soft verbals to other schools, Billy Sanders (Miami) and Taniela Maka (Arizona), and Irvine offensive tackle Nik Abele also reportedly gave a verbal tonight. We'll have a lot more info on their visits and reported commitments at the conclusion of the trips.
