Su'a-Filo Talks About UCLA Trip

Provo (Utah) Timpview offensive tackle Xavier Su'a-Filo took his final official visit this past weekend, to UCLA, and he talks about it and his busy week ahead...

Provo (Utah) Timpview offensive lineman Xavier Su'a-Filo (6-4.5, 280) got back late Saturday from his final official visit.

Previously, Su'a-Filo had visited BYU, LSU, USC and Utah and this weekend he tripped to UCLA.

"I enjoyed myself there. I had been there once but this one was a little better. Aundre Dean was my host and I got to meet guys like Milton Knox and Kevin Prince. Roby Toma and Aulola Tonga (who he played with at the Hawaii-Mainland Game) were there and so was Richard (Brehaut, his teammate at the UnderArmour All-American Game)," said Su'a-Filo.

Su'a-Filo also got to meet with Rick Neuheisel, offensive line coach Bob Palcic and offensive coordinator Norm Chow.

"Coach Palcic was talking to me about playing left tackle. Right or left tackle, I don't mind. Coach Chow, he's pretty cool and a nice guy. He's all business and he talked about what kinds of things he's seen since he's been in the industry so long."

Su'a-Filo was happy to get to the sun for a few days, and his five visits, allowed him to "get the best of it all."

"All of my visits were pretty fun. I got to do two on the West Coast where the weather is always nice, I did two in Utah where it's always cold, but its home and then the visit to LSU. They were all different but I got to see a lot of different things."

The next five days will be busy for Su'a-Filo, who will host in-home visits each day.

"Pete Carroll and USC coaches are coming today (Sunday), Rick Neuheisel from UCLA is coming on Monday. Coach (Les) Miles and some coaches from LSU are coming on Tuesday. Kyle Whittingham and Utah coaches are coming on Wednesday. Coach (Bronco) Mendenhall has already been in, but BYU will have some other coaches during the week too."

Su'a-Filo said he wasn't favoring one school over the others, and added that all five schools aren't necessarily even.

"At this point, I'm favoring some schools more than others, but I'm not ready to say yet who is higher," said Su'a-Filo.

Su'a-Filo has set Signing Day as the day he'll announce his decision.

"I wasn't going to do anything but, but I guess ESPN wants me to announce on TV," said Su'a-Filo. "We'll have to see if that happens, but I'd rather do something small with my family.

Su'a-Filo said he's eager to get to Signing Day.

"You know, it's getting there to that point where I'm ready for it to be over," said Su'a-Filo. "I just haven't quite figured out or made my mind up. But when I do, it's going to be done and I won't worry about it anymore."
