Byron Wesley, 6-4 SO SF San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon, is a very talented young prospect with the ability to score in a variety of ways. Wesley has range to the stripe, a solid low-post game and a terrific left hand. His feel for the game is very advanced and he's an excellent competitor.

I spoke with Wesley recently and he gave me a list of schools that have been in contact with him.

"Wake Forest, Penn, Penn State, Yale, UCLA and Washington," said Wesley.

I asked Wesley if he has a favorite at the moment.

"Wake Forest," said Wesley. "I've been watching them on television this year and I've been to North Carolina a few times – I have family there."

I asked Wesley if he has given any thought to the factors that will be important to his decision.

"I'd like to be close to home," said Wesley. "Also, the campus and how good the team is."

Wesley said he could see himself making an early decision.

"I'd like to get it out of the way early," said Wesley. "So possibly this year if I get the right offers."

Wesley said his GPA last year was 3.3 and he's around a 3.5 for this year.
