Signing Day Success for Bruins

UCLA, so far, has had a big Signing Day, getting commitments from two big targets on the offensive line. Here's the latest we've heard on the prospects remaining on UCLA's board, including one heretofore unknown recruit, and a schedule for when they'll announce today...UPDATED 5:00.

HUGE NEWS: UCLA GETS XAVIER SU'A-FILO.

He picked UCLA over USC, LSU and BYU.

UCLA also got Stan Hasiak. So, the Bruins signed two elite prospects at their position of biggest need: OL.

UCLA also stole another USC commit from the Trojans, getting a commitment from speedster WR Randall Carroll.

It's a considerable coup for UCLA.

Manti Te'o announced for Notre Dame over UCLA and USC.

****Latest: We've heard that UCLA has a commitment and will get a signed NLI from Jared Koster, a linebacker from Norco High School who was verbally committed to Colorado State.


Still left to announce his decision is Roby Toma, the WR from Hawaii.

Currently UCLA has the #7-ranked class in the nation, according to Scout.com. It rocketed up the rankings, starting from #20 earlier in the week, and then broke into the top ten with commitments from Thigpen, Hasiak and Su'a-Filo.

Given the fact that UCLA went 4-8, and it wasn't a great crop of OLs on the west coast, UCLA's recruiting class can be considered a tremendous accomplishment.
