Today we've heard that UCLA might not accept the verbal commitment.
A couple of sources are now indicating that some powers in the UCLA athletic department are uncertain about allowing Sidney into UCLA.
The 6-9, 250-pounder has been controversial, having some on- and off-the-court issues in the past. Reportedly, this season Sidney had done quite a bit of work to get himself in better physical shape and improve his on-the-court behavior.
Sidney has yet to even take the SAT, which is late for a senior.
The source indicated that the it wasn't a "deal breaker" yet, and that there is still a possibility Sidney could come to UCLA. But, at this point, it looks like UCLA could very well pass on taking perhaps the most talented -- but potentially problematic -- player in the nation.
