"I was at UCLA the other day, talking to the coaches there at their Spring Practice and that was really cool. I played with Kevin Prince (two years ago), so it was good to see him. I've been getting a lot of stuff from Washington. And I'm going to Arizona to talk with the coaches there. I have an offer from UNLV, but I think once I start talking to coaches it will be good and I could have some more offers," said Loth.
Loth has a strong preference for playing in the West, and many of his suitors are from the Pac-10.
"I don't necessarily have to stay in California, more just the West," said Loth. "I like Washington. I haven't heard from Oregon, but that's another school I'd like to go to. I don't really have a dream school. I like UCLA and USC and I'm going to their camps."
Loth said he's not in a real rush to make his college choice, instead, taking a more deliberate approach and taking his time.
"I want to take some officials and I want all of my ducks lined up before I decide," said Loth. "I'm looking at a school that has a solid team and a good program. But most importantly, I want a school that is solid academically. When people look at your degree, you've got some credibility attached to your name."
Loth is planning on attending the Nike Camp and Scout Combine and has already been to the UA Combine and will camp at both L.A. schools this summer.
"Right now, I'm 295 but by fall, I want to be at 305," said Loth. "I don't want to just gain it but I want it to be good weight, solid weight."
Academically, Loth has a 3.4 GPA and will take the SAT this spring.
