VIDEO: Neuheisel on Tuesday Practice

Rick Neuheisel talked after practice Tuesday, first about the fight that broke out right before the end of practice that included some of the younger players, and then about the offense's focus and the competition at running back...

The CT scan on Logan Paulsen's right foot was negative for a fracture. The bone shows healing all the way through. UCLA is calling it a stress reaction. He'll be kept in a boot and on crutches for the next two weeks to keep from aggravating it.

A fight broke out between Morrell Presley and Rahim Moore on the last play of the live scrimmage at practice Tuesday. It's the fight that Rick Neuheisel refers to in the post-practice comments on video.

A few standout plays:

Kevin Prince hit Terrence Austin for a 20-yard touchdown. It was both a very good throw into the corner of the endzone and a very good catch.

Prince hit Presley, who stretched out for a touchdown catch.

Johnathan Franklin went in untouched for a five-yard touchdown run, slicing through a sizeable hole created by the second-string offensive line.

Derrick Coleman caught a pass in the flat at about the 12-yard line and took it in for a score.

Walk-on cornerback Andrew Abbott, who is getting a lot of praise from the coaches, intercepted a Kevin Craft pass in the back of the endzone, stepping in front perfectly.

Reggie Carter put a big hit on Coleman.

Akeem Ayers had a sack.

Two very noteworthy prospects at practice tonight were Giovanni DePoalo, the offensive lineman from Ventura St. Bonaventure, and Wade Yandall, the offensive lineman from Carson.
