"I loved the visit to UCLA, it was great," said Scott. "I had a great tour around the school and I got to learn a lot about what UCLA has to offer. My mother, she loved it and she was amazed at the atmosphere at UCLA. She also had a good time."
Scott also got to watch UCLA's practice out on Spaulding Field.
" Practice was great, I got to communicate with a lot of coaches and players, especially Coach (Reggie) Moore and Coach (Rick) Neuheisel, and just get an overall feel about UCLA," said Scott. "I can't wait to head back and watch them at the Spring Game and then hopefully their 1-Day Camp."
While Scott doesn't have an offer from UCLA, he's confident one is in the works.
"Right now I feel that UCLA could be close to offering but you just never know," said Scott. "I feel they're going to offer me before their camp. Coach (Todd) Howard told me that they'll love for me to come to camp. Coach (DeWayne) Walker was recruiting me until he left, but I've been talking with Coach (Todd) Howard and he said they in May he and Coach Moore are going to come check me out at my spring practice so I hope I get the offer."
"Recruiting overall is going good," said Scott. "I think towards this May my recruiting should really be starting to heat up," said Scott.
And Scott is taking things slow, not wanting to rush, or even name leaders.
"Right now, I don't have any top schools," said Scott. "I'm going to wait until I get more offers to start figuring out what my top schools are."
Several more schools are keeping tabs on Scott.
"As of right now the schools that are showing a lot of interest other than UCLA and Colorado State are Tennessee, Arizona, Colorado, UTEP, Washington and Oregon. There are several more, but those are the ones that stick out."
Scott earned All-Underclass Honors at the Scout.com Combine in Los Angeles last year and will be back there next month.
