With one scholarship offer under his belt, Sulka believes more could be on the way. "I've got one offer, from UNLV, and a couple of schools like San Diego State and Arizona, I think they could be offering me soon," said Sulka.
The 6-5, 270-pound Sulka has not only been putting his talent on display for the coaches that have come out to Notre Dame's campus, but he's been very proactive to generate more offers.
"I've sent some more information out and I'm getting set for camps and just calling up the coaches and seeing where they're at with me," said Sulka.
His dream school is Texas, though he's not had much conversation with the Longhorns. Sulka said San Diego State has been the school he's been talking with the most.
"I've also been talking with UCLA a little bit," said Sulka, who attended the Bruins' Spring Game at the Rose Bowl. "All of the schools like me as an offensive lineman. I could play either side at tackle or I could play all over the line. I could play defense, too."
Sulka said his top seven schools are Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, UNLV, San Diego State and UCLA.
For camps, Sulka said he'd be camping at UNLV, Oregon and Arizona, and possibly the two Los Angeles schools. He's also planning unofficial visits to Washington State and Arizona State.
"I've taken some visits already, checking out the schools," said Sulka. "Arizona and San Diego State I've seen. Now I'm trying to get to as many camps as I can."
Sulka said a high value will be placed on academics in choosing a school. "Number one, I'm looking at the academics and the majors they have," said Sulka. "Then the chemistry of the team."
Academically, Sulka has a 3.3 GPA and will take the SAT this spring.
He was an all-Serra League pick in 2008 for the Knights.
