All of the UCLA incoming freshmen will participate except Tyler Honeycutt, who is still sitting out from basketball due to the fracture in his back. But you can expect 6-9 center Anthony Stover, 6-7 power forward Reeves Nelson, 6-8 power forward Brendan Lane, and 6-7 small forward Mike Moser.
Also expected are the two recruits from the 2010 class who are committed to UCLA: 6-4 shooting guard Tyler Lamb from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, and 6-2 guard Kendall Williams from Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos.
As we've said before, the class of 2011 in California is a good one, and it's critical that UCLA is having some of the elite talent from that class in for its camp. We've heard these elite prospects plan to attend:
Angelo Chol, 6-7 PF, San Diego Hoover
Norvel Pelle, 6-9 C, Compton Dominguez
Byron Wesley, 6-4 SF, San Bernardino Cajon
Gelaun Wheelwright, 6-2 CG, Corona Centennial
Those four could very well be four of the top five or six prospects in the state of California for 2011.
Probably the two best 2012 prospects in California are planning to attend: Xavier Johnson, the 6-6 small forward from Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral, and Robert Upshaw, the 6-10 center from Fresno (Calif.) Edison.
Easily one of the early elite prospects in the class of 2013 plans to attend: Eric Cooper, Jr., 6-0 PG, La Verne (Calif.) Lutheran.
