Stills Building Towards Fall

Encinitas (Calif.) La Costa Canyon's Kenny Stills, the #6-ranked wide receiver in the nation, has set three official visits and is continuing to formulate a grouping of top schools...

Encinitas (Calif.) La Costa Canyon's Kenny Stills is back from Florida, where he was taking place in ESPN Rise's Gridiron Kings event.

That's just another of many trips that Stills will be taking in the coming months.

The #6-ranked receiver did a weekend road trip in June where he took unofficial visits to Cal, Fresno State and UCLA and just this week, he's booked three official visits for November.

Stills is scheduled to visit Penn State on November 7th when they host Ohio State, Oklahoma on November 14th when they welcome in Texas A&M and then Florida on November 28th when Florida State comes to town.

The visits to national programs are all a part of Stills' plan.

"I'm taking all of my visits out-of-state," said Stills. "I want to take good trips with good games for the full experience."

Stills is also contemplating visits to LSU and Tennessee among others, but said he's also likely going to do some more unofficials in the fall to the in-state schools.

"I can go to Cal, USC and UCLA unofficially and go see games so I'll probably do that," said Stills.

Stills is also working on narrowing his group of schools down to a smaller list.

"I'll release that real soon," said Stills.

In the meantime, Stills has added a new offer, from Oregon, his 16th offer, and still more schools could be offering come fall.

But those schools will need to get a move on it, because Stills has targeted a decision date.

"I want to decide by early December," said Stills.

A Scout 100 member, Stills was the MVP of the Los Angeles Combine. Stills helped lead La Costa Canyon to the CIF-San Diego Section D-I championship, leading all of San Diego in receiving yards with 1,274 on 64 receptions and scored 16 touchdowns. He was named First Team All-State Underclass by

He and La Costa Canyon will begin defense of their CIF-San Diego Section title on September 4th when they host Salinas HS.
