Derrick Williams, 6-0, 200, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, changed his schedule and is on his official visit to UCLA this weekend. Williams was originally scheduled to visit Washington this weekend, but the Huskies have told Williams they are set at running back.

Williams had a visitor from UCLA at school Wednesday. Williams said Thursday, "Coach (Eric) Bieniemy came by school. It was great. He is real up-tempo. He is definitely the kind of coach who can help me get to the next level. I decided to move my visit to UCLA up after I spoke to Washington. Both of my parents are going with me on the UCLA trip."

Could Williams verbal to UCLA if he has a great trip? "It is possible. I could verbal on the trip, but my plan now is to come home after the UCLA visit and sit down with my parents and discuss all the schools. I hope to make a decision next week at the latest."

Asked if Williams has discussed the possibility of going to college together with his teammate Joe Cowan, Williams said, "We have talked about it a few times. We realize each of us have to make our own decision, be we have mentioned it to each other." Cowan is scheduled to visit UCLA on January 24th, and is visiting Colorado State this weekend.

UCLA has always been one of Williams' favorite schools throughout his recruitment.. "Right now I am down to three schools – UCLA, Cal and Arizona. UCLA is still right there." Williams has already visited both Cal and Arizona.
