Norvel Pelle, an elite, 6-8 2011 power forward prospect from Southern California, who had a big July where he impressed many college caoches, has most of the Pac-10 recruiting him, but says there is one Pac-10 school that is currently standing out for him...
, 6-8 JR PF Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, is the number one prospect at his position in the West Coast class of 2011. A terrific shot-blocker, Pelle is extremely agile and quick for his size. He has a nice touch facing up to 15-17 feet and he will eventually be an inside/outside threat.
I spoke with Pelle recently and asked him about the schools that have been recruiting him since the July evaluation period.
"Washington, UCLA, Arizona…basically the whole Pac-10," said Pelle.
Pelle said all of the schools recruiting him have offered a scholarship.
When asked if he has a leader, Pelle replied, "Washington. I like the style of play and I like them."
Pelle recently attended the UW Elite Camp and I asked him how that went.
"It went excellent," said Pelle. "It's beautiful up there and the players and coaches are cool."
Pelle said he doesn't see himself making a decision any time soon.
"I'll probably decide during my senior year," said Pelle.
