Corona (Calif.) defensive end Chidera Uzo-Diribe committed to Colorado last week, seemingly ending his recruitment.

But Uzo-Direbe said he still plans to keep things somewhat open.

"It was my first offer and I just wanted to get done with it and tried to get things taken care of so I can focus on my senior year," said Uzo-Diribe. "I went to the camp, and I did really well there. I really liked the campus there."

The three-star defensive end, who stands 6-4, 227, said the scholarship offer came as a pass-rushing end.

"They offered me as a defensive end and didn't say much about playing outside linebacker," said Uzo-Diribe.

Uzo-Diribe is planning to visit Colorado officially on October 30th when the Buffs host Missouri.

He visited UCLA unofficially during the summer, with his teammate Jordon James, and he's been in contact with the UCLA coaches, as well as Arizona coaches.

"Oh, I'm still definitely interested in them," said Uzo-Diribe. "Both UCLA and Arizona are really interested in me too."

Uzo-Diribe has set official visits to both schools, both in November, when James also will be visiting each school.

"I'm going to be taking visits to UCLA and Arizona," said Uzo-Direbe. "I'm visiting Arizona when they play Washington State (on November 7th) and then I'm visiting UCLA when they play Arizona State (on November 21st)."
