Last weekend, Richardson took his first official visit, tripping to Corvallis to take in Oregon State.
"It was real nice there," said Richardson. "Everything was cool and comfortable. We played on Thursday so I got there on Friday and got to watch the pregame walk-throughs and eat at the team dinner. They want me as a cornerback and he and Coach (Mike) Riley were both really nice and down to earth. It's in a small college town but that's real nice. You go around in town and everyone is wearing all their gear. I'd rate it a 10 out of 10."
But he's not in a rush to decide.
Those three schools, along with Oregon State and Utah, are atop his leaderboard.
"My top five schools are UCLA, Washington, Oregon State, Arizona State and Utah," said Richardson. "I've heard some from Oregon, USC and Cal, but they haven't offered. So we'll just see what happens. But my mom supports me wherever I go. There have been a lot of new schools keeping contact, but no real hints at any offers or anything."
Even though just a few weeks ago he told Scout.com UCLA was his favorite, Richardson now sayws no one school is in the lead.
"After taking my visit to Oregon State, I know I'm definitely taking all five of my trips now," said Richardson. "So I'll have a better idea when I'm down with the trips."
Through two games, Richardson and the Griffins have yet to allow a point, winning 31-0 against Mayfair in Week One and 55-0 over Fremont in Week Two.
"I've got like 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. I've only had four passes thrown on me all year and I have two picks and two pass break ups," said Richardson.
Richardson and his Los Alamitos team are 2-0 so far in 2009.
