Crenshaw remained perfect on the season, and improved to 5-0 against Southern Section schools with a blowout win over Culver City. The Cougars won despite DeAnthony Thomas doing most of his work on defense, with eight tackles, and only racking up 68 yards with no scores. Hayes Pullard paced the Cougars defense, which had four takeaways.
Danville Monte Vista def. Livermore, 55-13
Brett Nottingham needed only a half to do his work against Livermore. The UCLA commit was 17-for-21 for 338 yards and four touchdown passes, all in the first 24 minutes, as Monte Vista remained perfect at 4-0.
Encinitas La Costa Canyon def. Rancho Buena Vista, 47-3
Five-star receiver Kenny Stills bounced back in a big with with a six-catch, 128-yard, touchdown performance in a rout of Rancho Buena Vista.
Ontario Colony def. Kaiser, 19-14
A late fourth-quarter touchdown by Colony proved to be the game-winner as Josh Shirley and Kaiser dropped their second game in three weeks. Shirley had 11 tackles and two sacks in the loss.
Clovis Buchanan def. Fresno Edison, 22-12
The Tigers, led by two UCLA commits Wesley Flowers and Tevin McDonald, did a good job defensively, holding Buchanan to just over 200 yards, but the Tigers were offensively quiet in their first loss of the season to the Bears.
Servite def. Chaparral, 28-21
Servite bounced back with a win over Chaparral. Kirifi Taula stood out on both sides of the ball for the Friars.
Chula Vista Eastlake def. Poway, 21-0
UCLA commit Tony Jefferson ran for 114 yards on 21 carries, scored two touchdowns and had eight tackles as Eastlake edged Poway. Jefferson celebrated his selection to the U.S. Army Bowl with a well-rounded evening.
Bellevue def. Mercer Island, 48-6
Bellevue extended their streak to 16 wins over Washington opponents when they cruised to a 42-point win over Mercer Island in KingCo play. Julious Moore led a stout defensive effort for the Wolverines.
Novi Detroit Catholic Central def. Orchard Lake St. Mary Prep, 27-0
UCLA pledge Earnest Thomas and OLSMP could get nothing going in a shutout loss to Catholic Central.

Los Angeles Loyola with Colin Tanigawa, John Young, Anthony Barr and Jerry Neuheisel had a buy last weekend. Pittsburg and Erick Dargan were off. Serra and Paul Richardson and Co., had a buy before playing Taft this weekend.
