Guy Says There's a Top Three

Jay Guy, the 6-0, 307-pounder from Houston (Tex.) Eisenhower, ranked the 17th best defensive tackle prospect in the nation, took an official visit to UCLA, and now says he has three schools at the top of his list...

Jay Guy, a 6-foot-0 and 307-pound defensive tackle, the #17-ranked player at his position in the nation, was the first commitment for Cal in the 2010 class.

By this fall, Guy was openly entertaining the idea of other schools while remaining committed to Cal.  Then, he took a official visit to UCLA September 18th and announced he was de-committed from Cal and that UCLA was at least tied with Cal for him.

Next on tap for Guy is an official visit to Nebraska this weekend.

He said, "I took an official visit to Cal and to UCLA. I have a visit set up for Nebraska on November 7 for the Oklahoma weekend. That is still set up."

Does this mean that he's down to UCLA, Cal and Nebraska?

"Yeah, I am trying to trim things down a bit," said Guy.  "I am down to a top three, kind of, but I am still looking around. I just want to find the best place for me.

"I really want my family to agree with my choice. I am still looking at Cal, Nebraska and UCLA. I have been looking at those schools."

Guy is playing well for Houston (Tex.) Eisenhower. Over the past three games he is averaging around 10 tackles and one sack per game. At the nose of a 3-4, it's on Guy to stir things up.

"In the past three games I have had around 30 tackles," he said "I have had either two or three sacks. We run a 3-4 defense so it's more read and react on the defense. I play the nose so it's still on me to create pressure. I get pressure of the guards and the center. It's kind of hard, but I still find a way to make a play."
