Two of the Sunset League's best teams start league play with an intriguing game, full of star power. Newport Harbor is led by 4-star Cal commit Cecil Whiteside and 2011 linebacker Ryan Edwards, while Los Al counters with UCLA cornerback recruit Shaquille Richardson.

Monte Vista vs. Amador Valley
Monte Vista, led by UCLA-bound quarterback Brett Nottingham, tries to bounce back from their heart-breaking loss to De La Salle with an EBAL contest against 4-1 Amador Valley on the road.

Riverside Patriot at Kaiser
Kaiser, with USC commit Anthony Brown and UCLA target Josh Shirley, who is doing well at his new spot of linebacker, kick off Sunkist League play when they host Riverside Patriot.

Oaks Christian vs. Bishop Diego
Unbeaten Oaks begins their Tri-Valley League championship defense when they visit winless Bishop Diego, behind the legs of UCLA commit Malcolm Jones.

UCLA commit and U.S. Army All-American Tony Jefferson and Eastlake look to open Mesa League play with a win when they take on crosstown foe Hilltop after a week off.

Bellevue vs. Juanita
Bellevue looks to extend their streak to 18 wins over Washington opponents when they face Juanita in KingCo play. UCLA commit Julious Moore leads Bellevue while Juanita's top prospect is 2011 defensive tackle Sam Shirley, who will be at UCLA's game on Saturday.

Gardena Serra vs. Bishop Montgomery
After being tested last week against Taft, Serra looks for a breather when they take on 1-4 Bishop Montgomery in their Del Rey League opener. The vaunted offense, with UCLA target Paul Richardson in the mix, has overshadowed a stellar defense, paced by elite 2011 prospect Jason Gibson.

Loyola at Chaminade
Junior quarterback Jerry Neuheisel and UCLA target John Young lead the Cubs into non-league action against Chaminade, who's led by Oregon baseball commit Brando Tessar and coached by former Birmingham coach Ed Croson.

Mater Dei vs. Orange Lutheran
Mater Dei hasn't beaten Orange Lutheran in five years, but looks to right the ship against the Lancers in their Trinity League opener. Mater Dei is led by UCLA commit Chris Ward and stud 2011 receiver Victor Blackwell while OLu is led by three-star linebacker Garrett Gilliland, who may be out of tonight's action with an injury.

Riverside North at Corona
UCLA running back target Jordon James is running the Wildcat for the Panthers, who's roster also includes UCLA recruit Chidera Uzo-Direbe and 2011 prospect DeVante Wilson. North has Utah commit, and son of former UCLA receiver Flipper Anderson, Dres Anderson, as well as E.J. Schexnayder at running back.

Brookhaven (Ohio) vs. Beechcroft
UCLA commit Derrick Bryant and Brookhaven face Beechcroft on Friday night in Columbus.

Davison at Orchard Lake St. Mary Prep
UCLA pledge Earnest Thomas and OLSMP take on Davison on Saturday on Senior Day for Thomas and his fellow 2010 class.

Manual Arts at Crenshaw
Two of UCLA's prime targets, 2010 linebacker Hayes Pullard and 2011 athlete DeAnthony Thomas, look to keep the unbeaten Cougars perfect when they start Coliseum League play against Manual Arts.
