Two Recruits Visit

Two local prospects took official visits to UCLA this weekend. Both are very much sleepers, and were referred to UCLA by ex-UCLA players. Only BRO knows who they are...

Jimmy Stephens, TE/LB, 6-3, 230, Torrance (Calif.) Bishop  Montgomery, and Grant Izokovic, LS/LB, 6-2, 220, Benecia (Calif.) High, took official visits this weekend.

Stephens was referred to the UCLA coaches by Arnold Ale, the former UCLA linebacker who now is the head coach at Bishop Montgomery.

Izokovic was referred to the UCLA coaches as a longsnapper by former UCLA kicker Chris Sailer. Apparently, Izokovic really impressed Sailer at a kicking camp Sailer conducted a couple of weeks ago.

It was undetermined whether Stephens or Izokovic would be offered scholarships.  They could very well come to UCLA as walk-ons.  Izokovic also visited ASU early this week.

In addition to ASU, Stanford was also considering Izokovic, looking at him as a longsnapper also. He's actually a decent linebacker prospect, so it's uncertain whether ASU is considering him as just a long snapper or also a linebacker.
