"I am really excited," Innes said. "I know the coaching staff will turn their team around and are going to be good."
He was pretty quiet about his favorites and many speculated that he would join players he knows at Arizona State.
Innes said, "I actually committed yesterday but I didn't announce it. I wanted to tell the other coaches myself instead of them reading it on the Internet."
Breaking the news to ASU seemed to be a tough one for Kody. He said, "It was such a hard decision. I love ASU's staff and I have so many friends that play there but I just feel that UCLA is the right choice. Coach Neuheisel is going to turn it around. They have great coaches and they have had two great recruiting classes."
Innes' family also weighed heavily into his choice. Innes said: "My family is probably moving to California for work and it will be good for them to see most of my games plus my sister goes to Chapman College in Orange County so she will be close."
Innes will have no problem qualifying and is thinking about majoring in pre-med.
He also says that he will only take one more visit and that will be to UCLA. He has not set a date yet.
