Yandall Takes Visits, Sees Coaches

Wade Yandall, the 6-4, 295-pound offensive line prospect from Carson (Calif.) High, is making the rounds with official visits to Pac-10 schools, and entertaining coaches in his home. He updates us on the latest...

Carson (Calif.) offensive lineman Wade Yandall was able to put a tough Friday night behind him with a good official visit over the weekend.

Yandall and his Carson teammates lost a heartbreaker to Narbonne in the CIF-City Section semifinals, drawing an end to his high school career.

But a visit to Arizona State had him back in good spirits.

"It was cool at Arizona State, I liked it a lot," said Yandall. "Shawn Lauvao was my host and he is real cool. I have watched him play and he is a beast. I talked with Coach (Eric) Yarber, Coach (Pablo) Cano and (head coach Dennis) Erickson. They are all really cool people."

It was the second official visit in as many weeks for Yandall, having visited Washington last weekend. He'll make it three in a row when he visits Arizona next weekend and then will trip to UCLA sometime next month.

So does Yandall have a leader?

"Not right now, but it's between UCLA and Arizona State now for me and then Washington," said Yandall.

Yandall is shooting for an early graduation so he can be enrolled in the college of his choice for spring practice.

This week, Yandall, a three-star by Scout.com, has a slew of in-home visits set.

"Coach (Mike) Tuiasosopo is coming and then I have one with Coach Yarber and Coach Erickson from Arizona State and then Washington and Coach (Steve) Sarkisian," said Yandall. "Then UCLA will be coming in, Coach (Norm) Chow is coming."
