The four-star offensive lineman, one of three linemen in the class of 2010 for the Bruins, took his first official visit, and lone trip, this past weekend to Westwood, where he'll spend the next 4-5 years.
"It was fun, I had a great time hanging with all of the guys," said Ward. "Richard Brehaut was my host."
Ward said there was no lingering questions in his mind about his verbal, but the trip further proved that UCLA was where he wanted to be.
"This visit there definitely sealed the deal for me and UCLA," said Ward.
Ward said there were numerous highlights for him on the visit, but none more than the connection he made with his future teammates and the coaches.
"The highlight was probably dinner at Coach Neu's (Rick Neuheisel) house with the recruits, the hosts and the parents," said Ward.
The other two offensive line commits, Wade Yandall and Kody Innes, were also on their trips to UCLA, and Ward said they all clicked, including the quarterback they could be blocking for down the line, Brett Nottingham.
"Yeah, we all really hit it off with each other," said Ward. "Especially with the quarterback, Brett Nottingham. He said he invited his high school line over for steak dinner every Wednesday so I'm liking that part."
Ward said meeting his future teammates, and getting to know several of the commits, has him excited for his future with the Bruins.
"We've got an awesome class going in, that's for sure," said Ward.
Ward said he will be having an in-home with Neuheisel in the next two weeks, prior to Signing Day.
