The four-star safety, one of the top players in Northern California, took his fourth official visit last weekend, tripping to UCLA.
"I liked it down there," said Dargan. "I had been there already for an unofficial visit, but I got to see more of the school this time. I hung out with a lot of the players. There were a couple of other guys there from the Bay (Oakland Tech teammates Fred Thompson and Ryan Murphy) that I hung out with." And yet another Bay Area native, Jerry Rice Jr., a redshirt receiver for the Bruins, served as his host.
"Jerry was cool and so were the other players I met," said Dargan.
Dargan spent ample time with the coaching staff, who reiterated their desire to see him in Westwood as a safety.
"Coach (Rick) Neuheisel was really cool and I liked the other coaches a lot. Coach (Frank) Gansz is my recruiter and I also talked with Coach (Tim) Hundley and Coach (Carnell) Lake," said Dargan. "We went over to Coach Neuheisel's for dinner with all of the recruits and other players on Saturday."
"Oregon and UCLA are probably the top schools right now, but I can't really say I have a favorite," said Dargan. "I like Arizona State and Washington State too. And I may still take one more visit before I decide."
Dargan has one trip left to take, but he's uncertain if he will take it, and where he may take it to, not to mention when.
"I think I'm getting ready to make my decision," said Dargan.
