"I should probably have an announcement here in the next couple days," said Barr. "Probably before the weekend."
"Coach (Mike) Denbrock from Notre Dame is coming by tomorrow and then UCLA is coming by on Friday with Coach (Norm) Chow and Coach (Rick) Neuheisel."
Last weekend, Barr took an official visit to UCLA, his final trip before making a decision. "It went well, I had a good time there," said Barr. "Taylor Embree was my host and I was able to hang out with all of the players and spend time with the team. They like me as an athlete. I think if I wanted to play running back, they'd give me a shot there."
Notre Dame on the other hand, has told Barr they like him as a receiver, but is open to other options.
"I don't know if I want to play that, so we'll see. I'd like to just go in wherever I go as an athlete and then go from there. If I play defense, then I like safety. But I prefer running back."
Barr said he's ready to wrap things up.
"It was fun at first, but it's getting tiring and old now," said Barr.
A relatively quiet guy, Barr said nothing major is planned for his announcement.
"I'll just call up the coaches and tell them," said Barr.
