Jones' Recruitment Still Status Quo

Terrence Jones, the 6-7 forward from Portland Jefferson who was recently named to the McDonald's All-America Game, may be down to five schools, but the recruiting process is the last thing on his mind right now...

Terrence Jones is putting together a heck of a senior season.

Last Friday, Jones, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound power forward, went for an impressive 42 points. Then just a few days late the five-star prospect dropped 50 points.

"He's been dominating," Portland (Ore.) Jefferson standout Terrence Jones. "Yeah he's been doing his thing."

Jones has been a big topic in recruiting circles, but he doesn't appear to be in any rush to make a decision. His list sits at five schools -- Oklahoma, Washington, Oregon, UCLA and Kentucky.

"Nothing has changed with him," Strickland said. "His standard line is he's going to wait until the end of the season and then get back into the swing of things. His five schools have periodically been dropping in and out."

Jones took official visits to everyone on his list except for Oregon. He did, however, take an unofficial trip to their campus.

Jones, who was recently selected to the McDonald's All-American game, is ranked No. 20 overall and No. 6 at the power forward spot.
