After recording nine picks as a 2008 sophomore, teams tried to stay away from him in 2009, so he was down to only three interceptions.
But his stellar play the past two seasons has opened his recruitment up to big things, and the 5-10.5, 185-pounder is holding a half dozen offers.
Ekpre-Olomu is also hearing from several other schools.
"I've been hearing from USC, UCLA, Washington and Arizona," said Ekpre-Olomu. "Hopefully, they could be offering. I think Arizona could be next. They said they wanted to watch my highlight tape some more then they'd offer after that."
Ekpre-Olomu said Oregon, USC, UCLA, Washington and Arizona State were some of the schools that were standing out for him, but he doesn't have a favorite.
"I want to take some time, take some visits, and check out the campuses and the locations around the schools," said Ekpre-Olomu.
Ekpre-Olomu has been to USC for the Trojans' Junior Day and is planning on going to Oregon in April. He'll also camp at the Los Angeles Nike Camp next month.
As for his interception numbers, Ekpre-Olomu took them in stride.
"I had way less chances this year so I didn't have as many picks so hopefully they'll throw my way more this next year," said Ekpre-Olomu.
Academically, Ekpre-Olomu is in fine shape, with a 3.2 GPA and he took the SAT earlier this month.
