The Latest Heard on Zeigler

Here's the latest we've heard on the recruitment of Trey Zeigler, the #7 shooting guard in the nation for 2010...

Trey Zeigler, the 6-4 wing from Mt. Pleasant (Mich.) High, will probably not be going to UCLA, according to good sources.

His father is former UCLA assistant Ernie Zeigler, who is the current head coach at Central Michigan.

The word we've been hearing is that Trey Zeigler would either go to Central Michigan and play for his father or go to UCLA.

The biggest deciding factor was whether the elder Zeigler would actually sign an extension on his contract at Central Michigan.

It was reported today, in fact, that he did.

While, of course, things can change, most of the sources close to the recruitment believe, now that Ernie Zeigler is firmly entrenched as the head coach at Central Michigan, Trey will choose to play for his father and be a Chippewa.
