"I'm trying really hard to narrow down my list and I'm working on it right now, and I should be coming out with a list here shortly," said Williams. "I'm looking at between seven and ten. It's kind of a random number but I'm narrowing it down."
Williams said he knows of three schools certain to be in his final list.
"I'd have to say Cal and Washington, them and Florida, are definitely making the cut," said Williams. "There are still a few other ones I want to get out to see. But the schools making the final cut are the schools I can see myself at. When I make that list, then I'll go out and visit them and see if I really like them."
In the last few months, Williams has only been to two schools, both in the Pac-10, but plans to see a few more in the months ahead.
"The schools that I've been to have been Washington and I had gone to Oregon before the Rose Bowl but that's about it recently," said Williams. "I need to make a trip out to Notre Dame and down to Florida, down to the South again. I think I'm going to take a down to Cal, and go down to see UCLA again and to USC."
Last year, Williams paired with the nation's top quarterback, Jake Heaps, and now that he's been bestowed the top-ranking at receiver in the early going, he's ready to run with it.
"It's really overwhelming, but now you have to live up to it," said Williams. "I appreciate it, because I know the hard work doesn't go to waste but now I have to keep working hard to live up to it."
