El Camino (Calif.) College corner Darrius Morrow, one of the top prospects in ElCo's upcoming sophomore class, may be from Tennessee originally, but he's grown to like Southern California.

Morrow has been out to UCLA for spring practice and said the Bruins are very interested in him.

"I am currently getting recruited by BYU, Arizona, Kansas State, Oregon State, Louisville, and most of all, UCLA," said Morrow. "Coach (Daronte) Jones, the (graduate assistant) cornerbacks coach, is the coach that is recruiting me."

Morrow was at practice last Friday, for the Bruins scrimmage.

"I attended the UCLA scrimmage and talked with Coach (Rick) Neuheisel and Coach Jones, and it really grabbed my attention," said Morrow. "I could see myself competing with the corners out there and becoming an great attribute to the UCLA program."

Morrow plans to be in Pasadena next Saturday.

"Coach Jones invited me to the Rose Bowl scrimmage," said Morrow.

And the Bruins stand atop his early list.

"I love the history and tradition UCLA has to bring," said Morrow. "They're number one on my list."

Morrow will graduate in June of 2010, and could leave and play somewhere this fall, where he'd have four years to play his three seasons.

But he's likely going to play his sophomore season this fall, where he's poised to be the starter, after replacing Florida State-bound corner Michael Harris for ElCo.

A good athlete, Morrow has reportedly been clocked at 4.38 in the forty and 4.02 in the shuttle, while also jumping 40-3/5 in the vertical.

Last fall, he had 12 tackles and six pass breakups.
