Thousand Oaks (Calif.) receiver Richard Mullaney was often overshadowed by other Marmonte League prospects or players in East Ventura County, but the 6-3, 185-pound Mullaney has made an impression on college coaches.

Mullaney has an offer from Air Force and is hearing regularly from a host of schools.

"I'm going to Arizona State for their Junior Day this weekend and they said if I go to their camp and perform, they'll offer me," said Mullaney. "Washington, UCLA, Wisconsin, New Mexico and Arizona are also recruiting me."

Mullaney was in Seattle last week to visit Washington unofficially.

"I loved it up there and liked everything I saw a lot," said Mullaney. "I got to sit in on some meetings, talked to the coaches and talked with Coach Dougherty at after. They said they want me to get up to their camp and perform and they'll most likely offer."

Mullaney has also unofficially visited USC and UCLA for their Junior Days this spring, and the Bruins have his eye.

"UCLA has been my favorite school," said Mullaney. "I'm definitely camping there."

In fact, Mullaney is planning on attending seven camps this spring and summer.

"I'll be at UCLA, Washington, Arizona State, USC, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Stanford for camps," said Mullaney.

Mullaney said he was thrilled to get his first offer from Air Force.

"It was definitely a relief and nice to finally get one," said Mullaney.

As a 2009 junior at Thousand Oaks, Mullaney had 80 catches for 1,000 yards and eight interceptions. He was named First team all-Ventura County, First Team All-CIF and MVP and All-State Junior Team.

Academically, he has a 3.8 GPA and will take the SAT in June.
