Madden has three offers, with his most recent coming on Monday.
Madden said a host of schools have been by or plan to come by Mission Viejo.
"After the Nike Camp, people realized they needed to come down here and see me," said Madden. "Notre Dame, Nevada, Minnesota, USC and Cal have all come by this week and more schools like Oregon, UCLA and Washington said they're coming by."
The outside linebacker said that his performance at the NFTC, where he was named linebacker MVP was an eye-opener for some, but not for him.
"I was aiming for the MVP," said Madden. "I want to be the best so I wasn't too surprised. I just wanted to show everyone what I had."
Madden said he's got a few schools out in front.
"USC is out on top then Oregon, Nebraska, Cal, UCLA and Arizona State," said Madden.
The Trojans were his childhood favorite, and an invite to their Rising Stars Camp could come with a bonus.
"USC wants to see me at their Rising Stars Camp, and they could offer me after that, they just want to see me in action," said Madden. "If they offer, it would be hard not to commit. I'm planning on deciding before my senior year."
Madden said his family prefers the West Coast.
"My dad wants me on the West Coast, and my mom, she went to Arizona, so she'd like if I committed there, but she's cool if I stay in the Pac-10," said Madden.
Madden was an all-state underclass pick by GoldenStatePreps.com, helping the Diablos to the South Coast League title and a spot in the CIF-SS Pac-5 Finals in 2009.
Academically, he said he's working on bringing his GPA up and will take the SAT in June.
