UCLA Offers Stockton Receiver

Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln receiver Brandin Cooks, one of the fastest risers this spring, got his tenth offer and it came from UCLA...

Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln receiver Brandin Cooks, offerless in late March, is now at double-digits thanks to a monster spring.

"UCLA just offered me," said Cooks. "I am very stoked."

The Bruins join Nevada, Boise State, Oregon State, UNLV, Washington State, Arizona, Utah, Washington and Cal Poly in offering Cooks.

"They offered me as an athlete and Coach (Rick) Neuheisel offered me," said Cooks.  "They are definitely up there with Washington and so is Oregon State and Boise State."

Cooks said he's been pleased with how the process has been going.

"It's a great process and I need to visit the schools and I think by visiting my top three or four, I will definitely be able to make my choice, that's what it will come down to.," said Cooks.  "All the coaches are great and have a great program. So it will be a tough choice but wherever I pick I know those programs are all great."

Cooks was the receiver MVP at the Stanford NFTC.

This weekend, he plans to camp at UCLA for their 1-Day camp.

Academically, he has a 3.7 GPA and took the SAT in April.

Last year, Cooks was named First Team All-League and First Team All-Area as a junior and Team Offensive Player of the Year. He had 46 receptions for 783 yards and 10 touchdowns and ran for 90 yards on 14 carries. Defensively, he had three interceptions for 110 yards. He also returned 10 kicks for 298 yards and had 12 touchdowns total and had 1,283 all-purpose yards.
