The 6-3, 228-pounder has a slew of offers, with a big one coming in the last couple of weeks, one that could reunite him with his former teammate, Ronald Powell, the #1-defensive recruit in the country in the 2010 class.
"I just recently got an offer from the Florida Gators, and I was real happy when I got the Florida offer because I've always wanted to play with my boy Ronald and now I got the offer," said Pomee. "We'll see what happens. They want to use me like Aaron Hernandez. I'm going down to their Friday Night Lights."
Pomee also has offers from Oregon State, Idaho, Washington, UCLA, Nevada and Arizona. Just a few weeks ago, it looked like Pomee could end his recruitment by committing to Arizona, but he said he's not rushing things now.
"I'm kind of wide open right now, but I like Arizona, Florida and UCLA a lot," said Pomee. "Those are my top schools. I'm just seeing all of my options."
Pomee was at UCLA's Skills Camp on Sunday and was easily the top performer there.
"My legs were shot man after the 7on7 (at USC on Saturday), but I wanted to come work out and show what I could do," said Pomee. "I got into a groove and was catching everything."
That's what Pomee has done consistently this spring. When he was at the Badger/New Level 7on7 in Vegas in March, he was the most consistent receiver there. And now, his recruitment has taken off.
"USC is talking about offering me to after the 7on7 on Saturday," said Pomee. "They said they'd get back to me in the week."
Pomee said the end doesn't appear to be in sight for him.
"I'll wait it out," said Pomee. "I'm going to take all my official visits and have fun with that. My decision might be a last minute thing, like on Signing Day."
